Welcome to the "Jazz Tune a Week Club."
1. Each week I will post a jazz standard on the blog. For public domain songs I will post a lead sheet, for songs still under copyright I will post a chord only sheet. I will also post an "iReal b" generated Accompaniment file. 2. You take the sheet and the file and make a recording. You can use a program like audacity or garage band, or just play it through your speakers and put a mic in between your instrument and the accompaniment. Just make sure it sounds alright! 3. Upload your recording to soundcloud, youtube, or dropbox etc. and post the link in the comments. 4. We then listen to each other's post, share critique, and get more awesome through weekly practice. There are no deadlines, and I'll post new lead sheets on Sundays (Sometimes Mondays). Feel free to post on any of the weeks. There are two forms below. The first is to be on the email list, the other is to submit transcriptions and accompaniments that you want included on the song pages. |
